Swagbucks Collectors Bills are here again!
Swagbucks has collectors bills again for Memorial Day. Get details at the Official Swagbucks Blog. There are 4 bills you can collect. They can only be won through swagbucks searching. If you collect all four, you get a 20 Swagbucks Bonus next week. They will keep track of the ones you win for you, and you can see them in your swagbucks ledger. They are calling it the "Score Four and Twenty Swagbucks Contest". The denominations are 7, 10, 12 and 15, and each commemorates a different historical event. If you are not already signed up with Swagbucks, please sign up using my referral link. This rewards site is legitimate. I have paid for Christmas and much more with gift cards I have earned through them. If you have any questions, please ask. I would be more than happy to help.

CVS Highlights 5/22 - 5/28
Purex Ultra Concentrate Liquid Laundry Detergent (24-33 loads) – $1.98 (Limit 4)
Use $1/1 coupon from the 5/1 RedPlum insert
$0.98 after coupon
Trident Vitality or Stride Spark $0.99, Get $0.99 ECB (Limit 1)
Buy 3, use $1/3 coupon from the 5/15 SmartSource insert
Or buy 2, use $1/2 coupon from the 4/3 SmartSource insert
Free plus overage after coupon and ECB
Revlon Nail $4.99, Get $4 ECBs (Limit 6)
Use $2/1 coupon from the 5/8 SmartSource insert
Free plus overage after coupon and ECBs
Spend $10 in Select Grocery Items, Get $3 ECBs (Limit 1)
6 Ragu Pasta Sauces – $1.67 eachUse 2 $1.25/3 coupon from the 5/22 RedPlum insert
$0.75 each after coupons and ECBs
There are several more deals to be had, but these were a few that caught my attention. The best way to maximize savings at CVS is to do more than one transaction. For example, Do a transaction for the Revlon Nail, buying 2 and using the coupons stated. total before tax = $9.98 minus 2 $2 coupons = $5.98 plus tax. Get $8 in ECB, do the transaction again (limit is 6 for this offer), use ECB to pay for it and get more ECB back again. This is called rolling the bucks. Try different scenarios of items to pay the least out of pocket. It is different for everyone, because people buy and use different things. This is just an example of how to work it to your advantage. I would do this offer for myself, but you can also do it to have the products for gift baskets, or something similar.

Obtaining coupons
One way to obtain coupons to cut costs is to buy the Sunday newspaper. In my town, there are 2 different papers available. I always buy the Jamestown Post Journal, because they carry all of the coupon inserts, such as Proctor & Gamble, Redplum and SmartSource, along with any extra special inserts that occasionally are distributed. The Erie Times no longer has the Redplum or P&G, so it is not even worth buying, in my opinion. Over the last several weeks, there have been times when I couldn't even get one copy of the paper because they are all being bought by a few people. I could not get a paper last week because the lady in front of me bought the last 12 they had!!! That is ridiculous and rude! I buy extra copies when I know there are going to be good coupons I will use in that weeks' inserts, but I never clear the shelves.
Another way to get coupons is the store shelves tearpads and blinkie machines, or display tearpads. I took 2 coupons for $1 off bacon when you buy salad for my coupon box. The expiration date is about a month away, and I know I will use them before then. There is no rule stating you must use the coupon when you acquire it...that is one reason for an expiration date.
Sign up on Facebook pages for companies and at their websites for coupons and special offers for products you will use. Many times you will get coupons for free products or the actual product free in the mail.
Go to websites such as coupons.com, smartsource.com and redplum.com to print coupons. Offers change all the time. If you are a swagbucks user, you can print coupons through their link while signed in to your account, and get 10 swagbucks for each coupon you redeem! MyPoints has a similar offer, and they give bonus points when you use 10 in a month. There are many other sites to print coupons. Do searches.
Look for hangtag coupons on bottles of liquor and wine. Many of these coupons are for meat or other items you would not normally find coupons for. Many state that no beer/wine purchase is necessary.
There are sites online to purchase coupons, if you can't get them through any other means, or if you just want extra of certain coupons. Coupon amounts vary, depending on where they are distributed. Many people will order coupons because they are getting a better value than what they would get in their area.
Have friends and family save coupons for you if they are not using them, trade with a group, or check your library. Some libraries have coupon exchange boxes.
I have a coupon box in which I have my coupons divided into categories. I take it with me to the store, so if there is a store special that is not advertised and I have coupons for the item, I always have them with me. I plan my shopping around sales cycles and stock up when prices are at their lows. I match coupons to the sales for even further savings, and if there is a manufacturers rebate available, I send that in, too. The amount of money that can be saved by shopping this way is staggering.

Free Kindle book, One True Love
Here is a free book, One True Love, for the Kindle. There are several more new ones on the Top 100 free list. You can also see other free titles in the suggestion box on the page. I usually see the newest ones in the box where it says Customers who bought this item also bought...Who doesn't love a free book?
Free Game for Kindle
Amazon has a free game for the Kindle, called Thread Words . I got it the other day, and I really like it. You start with four columns and four rows of letters, and "thread" the letters together to create words. There are shapes in columns down each side of the letter grid, and when you create words beginning and ending with the letters and match the shapes, you move to the next level. It has that extra challenge in making your words in the time allotted, while matching the shapes. If you don't clear all of the shapes, you do not move on to the next level. There is also an option of playing without a timer, but I think it is more fun to have the timer.
My husband got me a Kindle for Valentines Day this year, and I absolutely love it! I check for new free content every few days, and I usually get several new books or games. I have the $139 model, but my wonderful hubby also got the lighted leather cover for me, and it is great! I think it was worth the cost, because I have not paid for any of the 600 books (and handful of games) that I have downloaded. There are thousands of classics for free, and new books all the time. I have even downloaded history, astronomy, American History and many other textbooks. If you don't have a Kindle, it's my recommendation for you to get one! I take mine with me everywhere, and always have books to read. You can also use online readers or apps for phones to get these books and games, if you don't have a Kindle.
